EVALUATION

  • 30% - Assignments: non-book related assignments

  • 70% - Yearbook: assignments related to production of the book

  • Mandatory - Participation

Assignments (30%): Each of you is responsible for several personal assignments that demonstrate the techniques we will be covering in the next several weeks.

Yearbook (70%): The actual production of the book will comprise the majority of your mark in this class. Your current section editor will provide your team with a spread to complete, some guidelines on how the page should look, and a due date for completion. Moreover, that editor will help the team get started on producing the page. Each team is responsible for approximately 16 pages of book content throughout the year and upon your submission of a completed page spread it will be processed by your current editor who will check it for: accuracy, alignment, layout, fonts, photo/image types, and so on. Then the page will be printed off and submitted to the editor and managing editor for final approval, marking, and uploading to the printer.

Participation (Mandatory): This is a very social class. We are here to document as much of the school year as possible and present it in a book format. Your participation and attendance are a mandatory component of the course. You must take part in all online and in-class discussions!
